If you are like me, you have limited budget for gadgets and that includes vaporizers. So when it comes time to buy a new vape, you have to be able to evaluate and select your next buy based on any number of factors: vape quality, battery life, portability, warranty, etc…
When buyers are considering buying a top of the line portable unit, both The Mighty and The Crafty by Storz & Bickel are mentioned.
Let’s take a closer look at how these 2 units compare…
Battery Life
The Crafty will absolutely have a shorter battery life, by right at 50%. In fact, The Mighty has 2 batteries whereas The Crafty only has 1 battery. This comes into play if you are inpatient and don’t want to wait an extra minute or two to reach ideal temperatures. If you are inpatient, you will be much happier with The Mighty and it is truly much faster to “boot” up.
Final Verdict
It honestly comes down to what your primary desire for vaping is. If you are having sessions with multiple people, you most certainly would be better off to go for the Mighty. The larger size of the unit allows for the heat to dissipate evenly and thus allow for longer sessions with multiple bowls.
If you are mostly on solo runs, then the Crafty would be more than powerful enough for you. If you are also into apps and technology, then the Crafty is probably going to be a good choice for you.
Likewise, if you are going to be traveling with your vape, then the smaller form size of The Crafty gives it the advantage.
I love my Crafty, but I generally try and steer my friends towards the Mighty unless they absolutely need the smaller form factor and understand the limitations.
In the end, you cannot go wrong with either model as they are truly the best quality portable vaporizers in the marketplace. The price may be a step up for most vapers, but you get what you pay for with Storz & Bickel.
Crafty vs Mighty User Reviews
I’ve had both.
The Mighty much faster on warm-up than Crafty. 45 seconds faster is a fine guesstimate.
Mighty charges much faster than Crafty. More powerful charger than Crafty’s usb. Don’t know exactly, but about 90 min. as opposed to 120 min., then Mighty lasts twice as long on that charge.
Mighty does stay appreciably cooler than Crafty even in normal use and a lot cooler in heavy use/temps.
Crafty App is an interesting tech aspect, but the simple and on-board Mighty controls make me not miss having to keep the phone around in case I want to change a temperature setting.
Crafty’s lights. Don’t get me started about the many stories told by the lights on Crafty… but it is smaller if that is your priority.
